Busy day today!! Mason's first basketball game at 11:30, then off to the shop from 1-4. I need to finish some projects I started yesterday, then hopefully I'll have time to put up our Valentine's decor up. It's less than a month away! I forgot my camera at the shop:( I made lots of new scarves I wanted to post, but I guess it'll have to wait.
Going to some friends house for the big game tonight-should be lots of fun:)

Things were so crazy yesterday I didn't have time for a post! I worked at the shop (making LOTS of new things!), then picked up the kids, took Mason to basketball practice, went shopping, came home & had pizza and I was EXHAUSTED! I feel pretty darn good after having surgery, but boy do I get tired by the end of the day-I can't even keep my eyes open!
My pooch Essa is doing much better today-her cough (from the tube down her throat during her surgery) is much less-thank goodness-poor thing! My mom is a saint-not only does she watch my children & millions of other things for us-she's sat w/my dogs the last 2 days! We were closed most of last week because of my surgery-so I REALLY did not want to close again, but I felt awful leaving her alone. My mom offered to sit w/them. I am soo blessed!
Below are new items added to the shop. Apparently it's all about hair in 2011..lol! As soon as I get off the computer, I have many other new things to work on today-non hair related! I am at the shop til 5, so I should get lots done today:-)

1/12/11
We had to take my big pooch, Essa, in this morning to have a cyst removed. I thought that would be that, but they want to send the fluid in to test it. Hate that:( Poor thing did NOT want to stay there. She'll be happy when we pick her up later today! And, since Mike & I were both there-I asked the vet how overweight the happy girl is (Mike seems to think she is obese), and alas, I WAS RIGHT!! Only 5-7 pounds! Even though 91 pounds seems like a lot for a female not that tall lab mix-she said she has a very broad frame, so a few pounds & she'll be perfect! HA! I knew it:-)
I had a ball making some new items at the shop yesterday (and will again today as soon as I get off this computer!). It feels so good to be back-I swear I'm in my own happy, creative little world when I'm here! The new necklaces are $10.95 & the barrettes are $1.99.
Hopefully, tonight, Mike can resume progress on the closets. They are drywalled & patched. Next step is sanding, prime & paint. We need to purchase the doors & then (YAY!!!!) closet organizing items. It can't come soon enough. I am going CRAZY with all the baskets of clothes & shoes sitting around. I cant even lift any of it (because of the appendix thing) to better organize it! But.....I promised him I wouldn't complain, so I need to zip it & suck it up!

Back to work!
It was a great day back to work. I have sooo many supplies to make new items that it's a little overwhelming-but exciting! The shop seems pretty bare without the Christmas decorations & our inventory on the sparse side from the Holidays. It'll be fun filling it back up. Started today with some Valentines goodies-hypo-allergenic adjustable rings & some heart hair clips pictured below. And, also, one of my favorite little purses w/a heart button. I also worked on some of my NEW necklaces that I'll post tomorrow....oh, and some of the cutest flower hair clips!! I'll post those tomorrow, also!
Tonight we're going to try out my "GT Express 101" sandwich maker that I got LAST year for Christmas! Turkey & Garlic cheese....mmm I'm hungry! Then, my favorite show tonight-Parenthood. Life is good:)

Happy Birthday Mason!
My baby Mason is 8 today! I can hardly believe it! Pizza from Little Ceasers (his favorite), cake & gifts. Which, Mike forgot where he hid them & we spent an HOUR this morning looking for them! But, we found them & all is well. We had a wonderful brunch celebration yesterday & stuffed ourselves silly! Love spending time with family.
I have to run many errands today.....have to pick up a few small things for Mason yet, bank, Hobby Lobby and a few more places in between! Amazing how many things pile up within a week! But, I am not complaining-I am VERY happy to be going out & about. I LOVE to putz around;-) I better get to it!

Lazy Sunday~1/9/11
I love lazy Sunday mornings.... Waking up to sunshine, grabbing a cup of coffee, getting on the computer & seeing what the world is up to! Then, snuggling on the couch to read the paper.
My first outing today since my surgery-about time, I'm going CrAzY : / I probably would have ventured out sooner, but it's been too dang cold! We are having our 1st celebration of 3 for Mason's birthday (he turns 8 tomorrow!!) Why 3 you ask? Mike & I both have big families, so it would be too many darn people at 1 time! But that's ok-we like lots of celebrating. So, that's a party for each side & then, of course, his friend party. So, today, we celebrate with mine. We are going out to Robbin's (Oshkosh) for brunch, cake & presents. They have prime rib on the buffet & Mason's favorite is steak, so he'll be loving it! We usually have the family parties at our house, but w/our house a disaster from our closet project & my surgery after effects, this seemed like a much better plan!
Mike spoils me with gifts at my birthday & Christmas (which, of course, I LOVE), so I just had to post one of my very favorite. I just love this little mushroom. The colors make me feel warm & fuzzy. I could literally stare at it for an hour. It's suppose to be for my yard (I have all kinds of things snuck into places throughout in the summer), but it's so cute I put it in my kitchen!

I'm Back!
Sooooo, I didn't have a very good start to my blog! A couple of hours after my first blog, I started getting sick & major stomach pains-the next day had to have my appendix out! Came home from the hospital on Tuesday.... After a few days of all day HGTV I am ready to get back into the swing of things! I am MUCH better now (the human body AMAZES me!) and am getting VERY antsy! The upswing is is that I got to lay around & get many new ideas swimming in my head to make at the shop. I will be back there on Tuesday & can't wait-I've missed our little shop:(
While I layed on the couch all week, Mike & his brother ripped out our old bedroom closet & have started building a new one. I am so excited-I have been asking for this one for 5 years (along with many other projects my good man has completed). We don't have much storage in our old house-so this is going to be AWESOME:-) I can't wait to start organizing & putting my things in once it's done. He's back to work next week, so it'll take a while to get finished-but it'll be worth the wait!
